Google will follow Apple’s design plans for the iPhone 14 series, and the Pixel 8 series phones introduced this fall will completely eliminate the physical
SIM card slot. This news is supported by a rendering of the Pixel 8 published by OnLeaks, which shows that there is no reserved SIM slot on the left side,
suggesting that the new model will be eSIM.
