New electronic paper fire safety signs can clearly guide the correct escape direction

When a fire occurs in a building with a complex structure, it is often accompanied by a large amount of smoke, which makes the trapped people unable
to distinguish the direction when escaping, and an accident occurs.

Generally speaking, fire safety signs such as evacuation signs and safety exit signs are required to be installed inside buildings; however, these signs are
often difficult to see in the thick smoke.

Xing Yukai from the Jincheng Fire Rescue Detachment, after painstaking research and patient consideration, proposed the application of a new type of
electronic paper to solve this problem. After this electronic paper is covered with long afterglow luminescent material, it is applied to fire signs, which will
meet the requirements of life safety and disaster prevention systems for modern buildings, temporary buildings and special buildings.

The structural principle of electronic paper fire safety signs:
Electronic paper uses the reflection of light to display, but the visual effect is not good in dark rooms and dark environments. Long afterglow luminescent
material is a new type of self-luminous material, which has the advantages of high luminous brightness, long afterglow time and good stability. It also has
a better display effect in a dark room environment. The technical principle of Xing Yukai's research is to coat the electronic paper with long afterglow
luminescent material.

Electronic paper has a wide range of uses and can be used to replace conventional display devices, including mobile communications and handheld device
displays such as PDAs, and can also be positioned as ultra-thin displays to form applications related to the printing industry, such as portable e-books,
electronic Newspapers and IC cards, etc., can provide reading functions and usage attributes similar to traditional books and periodicals. For a long time, paper
has been used as the main medium for information exchange, but the content of pictures and texts cannot be changed once printed on paper, which cannot
meet the requirements of modern society such as rapid updating of information, large information storage capacity and long-term preservation.
