The significance of RFID in transnational logistics scenario

With the continuous improvement of the level of globalization, the global business exchanges are also increasing,
and more and more goods need to be circulated across borders.
The role of RFID technology in the circulation of goods is also becoming increasingly prominent.

However, the frequency range of RFID UHF varies from country to country around the world. For example, the frequency used in Japan is 952~954MHz,
the frequency used in the United States is 902~928MHz, and the frequency used in the European Union is 865~868MHz.
China currently has two licensed frequency ranges, namely 840-845MHz and 920-925MHz.

The EPC Global specification is the EPC Level 1 second generation label, which can read all frequencies from 860MHz to 960MHz.In practice,
however, a label that can read through such a wide range of frequencies would suffer from its sensitivity.

It is precisely because of the differences in frequency bands between different countries that the adaptability of these tags varies. For example, under normal circumstances,
the sensitivity of RFID tags produced in Japan will be better in the range of domestic frequency bands, but the sensitivity of frequency bands in other countries may be much worse.

Therefore, in cross-border trade scenarios, the goods to be shipped abroad need to have good frequency characteristics and sensitivity as well as in the exporting country.

From the perspective of supply chain, RFID has greatly improved the transparency of supply chain management. It can greatly simplify the sorting work,
which accounts for a high proportion in logistics, and effectively save labor costs; RFID can bring more accurate information integration,
allowing suppliers to quickly and accurately perceive market changes; in addition, RFID technology is in terms of anti-counterfeiting and traceability It can also
play a huge role in impro the standardization of international trade and bringing security.

Due to the lack of overall logistics management and technical level, the cost of international logistics in China is much higher than that in Europe,
America, Japan and other developed countries. As China has become a veritable world manufacturing center,
it is very necessary to use RFID technology to reduce costs and increase efficiency, improve management and service level of logistics industry.
